Lewis and Clark Invitational

We are excited to welcome you to the 2024 Lewis and Clark Invitational, January 26-27 at Yankton High School.
We will offer 3 rounds of IEs and a final on Friday. In addition to novice and varsity extemp and oratory, we will be running combined novice and varsity events in DI, HI, DUO, POI, and INFO. Coaches, please make sure that you clearly mark your novices in Tabroom (and remove the novice designation from all varsity competitors). We will award the top novice in each of these categories.
In addition to IEs, we will again be running 2 congress sessions on Friday. If numbers warrant, we will have separate novice and varsity houses. We will be using the SD Jan/Feb docket with the addition of two bills from Norfolk.
We will offer 6 rounds and a final of varsity PF and LD debate on Saturday. Novice PF and LD will have 5 rounds of debate and a final. We will also offer Congress sessions on Saturday. PUBLIC FORUM WILL BE DEBATING THE FEBRUARY TOPIC!
Concessions will be available in the Commons from 2:00-8:00 on Friday and 10:00-5:00 on Saturday so please plan accordingly.
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR PARKING ON FRIDAY
We are holding district-wide in-service Friday until 12:30. All district staff will be at the high school in the theater. ALL vehicles transporting speech and debate students need to drop off competitors and park in the teacher parking lot. You may enter through the theater doors. Map for parking can be foundhere. If you arrive before 12:30, you need to go directly to the Commons as the theater will still be in use.
